Blackberries

Bound with thorns,
growing, 
wrapped,
intertwined,
care,
without the courtesy,
prickly leaves,
desire to please,
berries carried by the birds,
full of vitamin C,
and part of you and me,

Exaltation

Vivid blue,
definitive red,
heed the warnings, 
placed in our head,
shouting in the storm,
exaltation,
swept away,
in the fray,
she looks the other way,

Person

On a need to know basis, 
at an isolated oasis,
in his professional view,
you could not uncouple the two, 
laziest of mother's,
most hard working of brothers,
tired,
we lay to rest,

Comfort

Like pieces on a board game, 
played by enthusiastic siblings,
pushed and marched around,
box by box,
pressed down with convincing force,
quenching the lips of a dragon,
red wine, 
rosé,
tequila and time,

Correspondence

Licking the envelope,
sealing her words inside,
his worn fingers,
grateful,

Allure

The allure to try,
to avoid the lie,
living beneath a broken beam,
carrying its weight,

a hungry individual,
only repulsed by himself,
wrapped in dark green foliage,
basking in temperate climbs,
holy without a cause,
averse to concentration,

The flag of nature,
tree colours merging in a blue sky,
clouds floating peacefully by,
bird song breaks the silence,
insects crawl on my phone,
never for a second completely alone,
I try to capture,
to never forget,
a remedy for worry and regret,
I am pleased that we met,

I would like to know,
before you fly away,
peaceful,
here I wish to stay,
one day to the next,
happily perplexed,
in the arms of trees,
