Your guard

I am the guard who stood by your gate,
waiting to be slain by your enemies,
as you finished your feast,
the child crushed in the construction of your vanity project,
the woman who died giving birth to your bastard child,
the beast slain to subside your hunger,
the one displaced for your profit,
my name you may remember, my name you may have forgot,
our precious existence depends on each other,
remember and recover,

Science and Art

Rude and abrupt,
rough gold,
new story told,
brutal lessons,
science chasing art,
he drags her by the hair,
she spits in his face,
they sweat together,
watching like eagles,
loyal as swans,
vicious,
loving,
strong as an ox,
fighting their way out,
loss and elation,
desperate situation,
Queen and King,
his whores, her muses,
dynamite diffuses,
infinite circle,
an explanation,
next generation,
body position, movement and eye contact,
surviving, thriving,
bad mouthed,
cheap taunts,
ridiculed and humiliated,
chapters of the same book,
this is what it took,
taste of disgrace,
rejection,
passionate affection,
baked under the same sun,
washed by the same rain,
held together by the same pain,
strong refusal of surrender,
acceptance of defeat,
swift retreat,
escape from slavery,
freedom to fall,
wit to rise,
longing another sunrise,

Tyrant

I watched him from afar like any independent thinkers who valued their current existence.
A tyrant, he walked onto the battlefield with his army of women and strongmen and soaked up his enemies strengths and ripped them apart with their weaknesses, some they didn’t even know they had until it was too late, an understanding cruelty, the kind that spread fear,
There was men who may of beaten him but they just seemed to keep their distance, while the world still seemed large enough to coexist they left him be.
He seemed to take a part of every natural living thing and absorb it to the point where it may be of benefit in wisdom, skill and strength.
People lost count of the number of his offspring, it was never a clear area anyway. Although jokes arose when young women and men trying to prove themselves from his community showed his characteristics.
Deadly, people revered the energy he put into the security of their lives.

Talking Point

Technology broke down the barriers,
we could finally communicate with other species,
as people saw the potential their was a great excitement and drive, a developer push like no other,
a truly crowd-sourced project, with beautiful rewards.
Learning what the beautiful creatures that surround us had to say and contribute was nothing short of a revelation. The wisdom that these creatures brought gave the feeling throughout that the world would hopefully be heading for better times.
Dark times are behind us now, we stand together in the light.
Problems are now shared and solved. The world is a vastly richer place. A new found value for the preciousness of life and health has led to a new found care in all we do.
